The Director of Finance is responsible for the integrity of CWF’s financial and accounting oversight. The Director of Finance will be a strategic thought-partner reporting directly to the President/CEO. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative leader accountable for translating the organization’s vision into the development of a skills-based internal team focused on strengthening the support of the following areas: finance, organization planning and budgeting, strategic management and budgeting of human capital and resources, grant administration, and procurement.
Controller
As a key member of the Campaign for Working Families Team, this position is responsible for accounting operations, production of financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records. This position’s primary focus is the efficient acquisition and deployment of both short- and long-term financial resources, to ensure the objectives of the Campaign are achieved. The Controller will interact with staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis.
Grants Manager
The Grants Manager will be responsible for identifying, writing, and submitting grant proposals to state and government agencies, private foundations, and other resources. They will also be responsible for managing and reporting on existing grants. This manager will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for funding that will lead Campaign for Working Families in increasing its revenue and overall financial standing. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and research skills, as well as experience with grant writing and management. The director will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines. They will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal staff and external stakeholders.
Staff Accountant
As a key member of the Campaign for Working Families Team, this position is responsible for bookkeeping and financial management. This position’s primary focus is the efficient acquisition and deployment of both short- and long-term financial resources, to ensure the objectives of the Campaign are achieved.
Assistant Site Manager

Supports the Site Manager in the coordination, organization, and supervision for all aspects of a CWF tax site during the tax filing season.
Tax Site Manager
Part-Time, Seasonal
Provide coordination, organization, and supervision for all aspects of a Campaign tax site during the tax filing season. The Site Manager is ultimately responsible for maintaining the quality procedures and processes required by the IRS and Campaign to ensure the overall accuracy of tax returns prepared and e-filed at the site.
Intake Specialist
Serve as the point of entry at a free community tax site where you will greet customers, organize paperwork and folders and support other administrative tasks. Intake Specialists are ultimately responsible for all aspects of the intake process and screening. Intake Specialists must maintain a system of organizing walk-in taxpayer’s intake folders and reviewing them for completeness.

Resource Specialist
To educate clients regarding resources available through CWF; assisting clients with public benefit enrollment and other CWF provided programs/services; facilitate client data collection/reporting; support all CWF activities that promote financial stability. The Resource Specialist is responsible for the quality and timeliness of all Asset Development work product performed at CWF tax sites, including the follow-up on unresolved issues.
Site Manager

The Site Manager is ultimately responsible for maintaining the quality procedures and processes required by the IRS and Campaign to ensure the overall accuracy of tax returns prepared and e-filed at the site.
Tax Law Trainer
highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals who are willing to train CWF contractors, interns and volunteers in Basic and Advanced tax law within the VITA scope.
